School shoes for boys

School shoes are probably the one pair of shoes that really need to be made to the highest standards so that they can withstand the beating that they will take in the playground at school. Boys school shoes need to be particularily tough because boys really do give these shoes a hammering.

Boys play football, jump in puddles, run everywhere, sweat a lot and generally horse around while at school in the break and lunch time free periods. School shoes get wet at school and when worn on the way home from school, boys get home, pull those school shoes off and then scamp off to play leaving their mothers to try and get these school shoes dry before they are worn again for school the next day.

The drying process for these boys school shoes is to put them on a radiator which dries the leather out and can lead to the glue that sticks the shoes sole down to become unstuck. For this reason I would recommend always chhosing boys school shoes that have a stitched through sole.

Once these boys shoes are subjected to getting wet, drying out, getting wet again and then drying out again a few times iot is highly likely that they will fall apart unless the shoes are made from really good materials and stitched together as well as glued.

The colour is also important and we recommend that parents buy black school shoes so that they comply with school uniform regulations and that scuffs and scratches don’t show so easily. Ideally parents should buy two pairs of school shoes for each child so that they can wear differant pairs on alternate days. This allows the shoes to dry out more naturally which will help to slow the deterioration down.

Finally buy school shoes that are comfortable as your child will be wearing them all day in all weather conditions and make sure that you replace them if your kids feet grow and the shoe gets too small.
